MY STORY

MandelbergerBranding_0038.jpg

I began my career in a corporate health system. As my practice was exclusively gynecologic (i.e. I was not seeing pregnant patients), my patients were largely over the age of 40. So many of them had various complaints: unexplained joint pains, weight gain, bloating, itching, low libido. 'Could it be menopause?' they would ask me. I told them I doubt it, or possibly, but this was just normal with aging. But as I started to see similar issues in so many of my patients, and noticed how many of them were suffering, I realized how wrong I was, and that I needed to figure out how to help them.

In 6 years of specialized training in women's health, I had barely learned a THING about menopause. That's right, we learned next to nothing about the changes that endure HALF of a woman's life. So I made it my business to learn everything I could about menopause and available treatments. The difference it made in my patients' lives was astounding. It brought me immense gratification to be able to help women in this way.

But as my practice grew, I felt the strain of providing top-notch care within the constraints of a busy, insurance-driven, corporate system. That's when the idea of a new type of practice took root. My mission is simple: take the time needed with each patient to truly address their concerns, and give them the proper care they deserve. With the membership model at Balanced Medical, I will be able to spend the time needed with each and every patient to give them an exceptional level of care that one cannot find through corporate medicine.
